Introduction to the National Service Scheme(NSS)

The NSS unit of Our College provides a platform to the students for Community work and developing a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building. NSS volunteers work to ensure that needy get help to enhance their standard of living. A variety of activities are organized every year to channelize the energy and idealism of the younger generation into creative pursuits. They Educate students and society regarding awareness of their health, hygienic and sanitation etc.,

Our College have a single unit of 50 students.

Following are the exposure and experience to the NSS volunteer:

  • A skilfull Social leader.

YOUTH RED CROSS

OBJECTIVE OF YRC
  • To conduct social and health awareness programmes.
  • Awareness on the care of their own health and that of others.
  • To encourage the students to extend their humanitarian services to the society.
  • To offer First Aid Training to all the YRC volunteers.
  • To develop leadership quality among the students.
  • The understanding and acceptance of civic responsibilities and acting accordingly with humanitarian concern, to fulfill the same.
  • To offer First Aid Training to all the YRC volunteers.
  • To inculcate in the Youth of our country.
  • To understand and acceptance of civic and human responsibilities.
GOAL OF YRC

The Indian Red Cross Society aims to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times, all forms of humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized, alleviated and even prevented, thus contribute to creating a more congenial climate for peace

  • Blood Donation Camp
  • Blood Grouping and Haemoglobin Estimation.
  • Conduct Essay competition and award prizes
  • Practice of Health habits.
  • Exhibition of film shows, cultural programmes and prevention of diseases.

RED RIBBON CLUB

GOAL OF RRC

Equipping youth with correct information on HIV/AIDS Prevention, Treatment, Care and Supporting. To make HIV/AIDS free INDIA by creating awareness about the spread and cause of HIV/AIDS among the student youth, non-student youth and public.

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF RRC
  • To prepare youth as per Educators / agents of change both among youth as well as society at large by developing their skills on leadership, advocacy, communication and team building.
  • To serve as forums for students to participate in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
  • To promote voluntary blood donation among youth.
  • To motivate youth and build their capacity as per Educators and change agents by developing their skills on Leadership and Team Building.
  • To Council the students regarding the various preventives for their proper health.

  • Workshop on Aids awareness.
  • College level elocution and singing competition.
  • Blood donation camp.
